Participating operators of the TBCASoft blockchain network will be the first to adopt the first application to be launched by the CBSG Consortium, which is known as CCPS (Cross-Carrier Payment System). This application is a payment system between mobile operators “that will be designed to allow mobile subscribers traveling to use their mobile payment application with local merchants abroad,” they said in the statement.

As explained in the press release, this blockchain-based payment application will provide interoperability between different telecommunications operators through different OTT payment networks, making established merchant networks instantly available to subscribers of telecommunications operators, sentenced.

It should be noted that this payment system has not yet been launched. According to the statement, SoftBank, as co-founder of the CBSG Consortium and first adopter of this system, plans to launch CCPS next year, in Tokyo.
