Juventus, the football team belonging to the Italian A Division, issued its own token fan and now 400 million fans can vote and help make decisions on the squad.
After a year of development, and thanks to the alliance with Socios.Com, Juventus, issued its own token fan and even opened its respective Voting system for its more than 400 million fans.
This was reported by the team itself on its official website, adding that the token is already on sale at 2 euros (USD $2.22 approximately) on the Partners platform, although for a limited number of fans, it will be free through the augmented reality application “Token Hunt”.
Already making decisions
According to the official publication, the team started once with a use case to inaugurate the voting system. This is the election of the new official song of celebration of the team, which replaces “Chelsea Dagger”, the song of celebration that takes place every time Juventus scores a goal at Allianz Stadium.
Only those fans who have Fan Tokens can vote and decide which of these songs will become the new official song to celebrate Juventus. The options are “All the Small Things” by Blink 182, “Song 2” by Blur, “Boom” by POD, “Jump Around” by House of Pain.
This will be the first in a series of surveys, dedicated to fans of the Bianconeri team. The winning song will be revealed at the time of the first goal at home in 2020.
Giorgio Ricci, director of Revenue of Juventus, commented:
“We are proud to be the first club to be activated by Socios.com on its platform, inaugurating a new way of interacting with our fans around the world. This partnership shows once again how much technological evolution and innovation are two priorities for Juventus, also in the way we interact and connect with our fan base “
Meanwhile, Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO and founder of Chiliz & Socios.com, added:
“The celebration of a goal is fundamental during game days. After eight years, Juventus fans have the opportunity to actively participate in the change with their vote. Making history: they will be the first football fans in the world in choosing his song. All this makes us incredibly proud. “
In addition, Dreyfus expressed:
“99.9% of sports fans are not in the city/country of the team they support. We created these fungible fan tokens to allow them to influence some fan-based initiatives. ”
Looking forward, Members plan to tokenize more football clubs around the world, with some offers to start 2020. These include Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Galatasaray, A.S. Rome and the electronic sports provider OG, according to The Block Crypto.
Members also said that other clubs are also ready to join the platform, whose details will be announced before the end of the year.
Gradually, Blockchain is finding fertile ground in many industries. But apparently, and as DiarioBitcoin has already outlined at the time, in sports the thing is going somewhat faster.
Teams like Atlético de Madrid and West Ham United are using Blockchain to improve their relationship with their fans through the Fan Tokens, thanks to the collaboration of Socios.Com and companies like Chiliz and Binance. Others on the other hand, like Real Madrid, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund at least are studying the possibility.
