Opera is currently recognized as one of the fastest growing web browsers in the last decade, and has now added support for both Bitcoin and TRON in its Android application.

That’s right, today Opera has announced the integration of wallets for Bitcoin and Tron directly into your browser, in fact, this is part of an integration of a wallet for Ethereum and Dapp support that was announced last year.

The new functionality will allow web browser users to make payments with BTC directly from their digital wallet built into their application for Android phones and, in addition to that, they will be able to interact with decentralized applications (Dapps) on the Tron Blockchain.

In fact, it is relevant to mention that the integration of the Tron wallet ends a beta that began in summer. Basically this allows users to access applications that exist outside the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

Opera Crypto Chief, Charles Hamel, expressed:

“Most people have heard about Bitcoin and, therefore, consider it important to support it and make this feature more familiar to a larger group of people.”

In the end, the interesting thing about Opera is that it has become the first of the main web browsers to support cryptocurrencies. However, we cannot forget Brave, a browser that rewards its users with BAT tokens for watching ads.

It should be noted that the five main browsers (Chrome, Safari, Samsung Internet, UC and Opera) Opera remains the only one that has digital wallet integration. This is now another technological movement of one of the oldest applications.

The web browser turned to cryptography last year, regularly expanding digital wallet functionality to its mobile and desktop offers. Opera for Android tested an Ethereum digital wallet as a step towards “Web 3.0”: the vision of a decentralized future of the Internet built on a blockchain.

But it was not the only step, in March this year it integrated a crypto wallet for Iphone users. Also, a few months ago it had been argued that the possibility of a wallet for the Bitcoin trade for Android was very close.
